The wind held off long enough for us to get a days worth of fishing on the Lake. It made for a wet ride back, but all in good fun! Congrats to Jeff Collett & Alicia Raytrowsky on the win (and Big Fish @ 4.88lbs), Mark Biesinger in second, and T.J. Raytrowsky & Rick Morrison in third. Until next time!

Congrats to the winners of the 2019 Labour Day Open! We saw a few larger fish hit the scale this year, at 5.38 and 5.04 – well done folks! Big thank you again to Angling Sports for hosting this event, Dave Harris for leading and organizing the registration / weigh-in process, and finally to Shimano and Diawa for the contingency prizes. Hope to see everyone in October!

Congrats to Aaron Hathaway & Joseph Hwang for taking the win (along with Big Fish @ 5.37lbs), T.J. Raytrowsky & Ian Fogarty in second, and Mike Craftchick & Matt Fryer with third. Until next time!

2019 Angling Sports Canada Day Open Results – Rondeau Bay
2019 Rondeau Bay Opener Results
Rondeau Bay Opener was a success! We could not have asked for better weather conditions. Although it was a tough bite this year with the subpar water clarity and high water levels, everyone managed to bring in a full bag limit! Congrats to Jeromy Lee & Matt Fryer on first, Alicia Raytrowsky & Richard Elliott Jr. on second, and Dean Donovan & TJ Raytrowsky on third.
Conservation – FCBM x Blue Fish Canada
Forest City Bassmasters (FCBM) has partnered with Blue Fish Canada (BFC) in an effort to further promote conservation in London and the surrounding area. Blue Fish Canada is a registered charity dedicated to protecting the health and future of Canada’s water and wild fish stocks. Donations can be made here
Support from Blue Fish Canada includes providing the club with a Fishing Tackle Recycler for tournament day use, to collect and recycle used fishing tackle such as line, lead weights and jigs, soft plastic baits, and other terminal tackle.
In addition to this, FCBM’s Conservation Director (Matt Fryer) has been working with BFC President, Lawrence Gunther in combination with staff from the UTRCA to get a Fishing Tackle Recycler installed at boat launches in each of the local conservation areas. We are very excited to announce that Fanshawe CA is the first to be on board with the program! You can find the recycler attached to their reservoir sign beside the boat launch.
