2022 St. Clair River Tournament

Veteran mistakes vs Rookie success! The day started out with overcast conditions with the threat of rain but ended up being a beautiful day on the St Clair River! Half the field headed north and half headed south. The teams starting out north dominated the tournament with all top three places. Rookie Alexi Orr started day off quick with a 5lber and adding another one during the day with his teammate Scott Bannerman taking the win and big fish with 20.01 lbs and two fish over 5lbs. The second place team of Jeff Zeisner and Terry Wilson slowly worked way up river and back down thinking out every move. Jeff having the AOY on his mind with not attending last tournament! Well deserved. Ending in 2nd with 18.0 lbs. Third place Ian Fogarty and rookie Chris Hamilton went to their spot and locked down for third with 16.37 lbs. Vet Jeromy Lee and rookie Ken Aubertin ran up and down the river both ways. Biggest mistake came from a very veteran team thinking it was the end of day light savings time and checking in a hour late! Numbers haven’t been what they are in past but still some big bags and talented anglers!

2022 Conestogo Lake Evening Results

The thunderstorms stayed away allowing for a very nice evening fish on Conestogo Lake. Jeff Zeisner and Alexi Orr took first place with 12.43 lb with big fish honors at 3.08 lb. Mark Biesinger and Brennan Brodie came second with 11.00 lb. Jeromy Lee and Chris Hamilton finished third.

2022 Wildwood Wednesday Evening Tournament Results

The rain stopped just in time for a very nice evening on everyone’s favorite local reservoir, Wildwood Lake. Mark Biesinger and Ken Aubertin came in with the only limit of the evening for a 1st place weight of 7.65 lb. Dave Harris and Nate Oxenberg took second and big fish honors with Jeff Zeisner and Chris Hamilton coming in third.
A shout out to our Tournament Director, Jeromy Lee. Jeromy has been doing a great job getting things organized for these tournaments, especially with all the various changes coming in place with the changing COVID landscape, watching the weather, working to get non-boaters spots in seats etc. Thank you from the club for stepping up and taking on this challenging role!

2022 FCBM Bass Opener Rondeau Bay Results

After a 3-year absence due to Covid and severe winds the FCBM returned for their bass season opener. With the weather changing all week threatening thundershowers and high winds, the thunderstorms and rain held off but strong winds made it difficult to stay on your spot. 3 of the 5 boats started out in deeper water and the other two boats disappeared in different directions. Some teams said they had numerous bites with others having the right bites. Father and son duo Dan and Ethan Crow weighed in first with 14.26lbs and a big kicker of 4.65lbs – good for second place overall. Coming in third was Jeff Zeisner and newcomer Ken Aubertin of Kincardine with 13.44lbs. The final team to weigh in anchored at front of the boat by Angling Sports’ Dave Harris with Jeromy Lee in the back weighing in a very healthy five bass limit of 17.92lbs with big fish of 4.93 lbs and another over 4.25 lbs. A great day on the water and we hope to see more anglers out for the evening tournament on July 13th on Wildwood Lake!!
